Day 1

                                                                             DAY 1

This morning, I left to do the Tongariro alpine crossing on the North Island. This is one of the most popular hikes in New Zealand, it is a 18km walking where we can see: the three famous volcanos ( Ngauruhoe, Tongariro, Ruapetu ) of New Zealand, lakes with blues colors, red craters and waterfalls. I was amazed in front of this surprising alpine desert.

After 6 hours of walking I was back at night, I decided to take the Heliview Tarakani, an helicopter which fly over the town of New Plymouth at night to observe the city, the stars as Moonlight reflecting off Mt Tarakani's snow, (20mins/140$). This flight was fabulous, it allow to see the landscape differently.

Day 2

                                                                             DAY 2

In the morning, I went to the Hot Water Beach Natural Hot Springs is a beach on the east coast of the Corromandel Peninsula. This beach is a popular destination for the tourists visiting New Zealand. You need a shovel to dig holes at the edge of water because the beach is just above source of hot water. The water with a temperature as hot as 64°C. I was really impressed by the heat of the water, the sea seemed fresh after.

Secondly, for the lunch I decided to eat on the Cathedrale Cove, this is a other beach more popular in New Zealand, fine sandy, a stunning views on the turquoise blue sea and a gigantic arched cavern passes through a white rock headland to join two secluded coves. You can cross it at low tide.

And in the afternoon I went to the Auckland's zoo, is the principal zoological garden of Auckland. There are about 179 species with a total of 1300 animals. I could see wallabies, kiwis and a very race specie of feline, the cat of Temminck.

Day 3

                                                                             DAY 3

intersilander     Fox Glacier

For my last day, I took the Intersilander which link up the North Island and the South Island. The crossing last 3 hours. When I arrived on the South Island, I took the bus to join the Fox Glacier Guilding, I walked on the ice, the guide learnt us a lot of things on the way whose the glacier are moving and their instability. And the afternoon, I walked around the lahe Mutheson which is next to the Fox Glacier. These landscape are very impressive, we feel very little facing with the size of the nature.
